I was born and raised in Marietta, Georgia, and I am proud to call Marietta home both personally and professionally. Growing up here gave me a deep appreciation for the people, businesses, and places that make Marietta special. Today, I have the privilege of serving members of the same community that has been such an important part of my life.
I attended Mount Paran Christian School before continuing my education at the University of Georgia. I earned two degrees from UGA, one in Political Science and another in International Affairs. I then attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where I graduated cum laude.
During law school, I gained valuable experience both inside and outside of the classroom. I served on the editorial board of the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law and published a scholarly article titled “Child Rights: Bangladesh’s Obligations Under the Worst Forms of Child Labor and Minimum Age Conventions.” I also served as Treasurer of the Georgia Student Trial Lawyers Association and participated in the Criminal Defense Practicum. Through the practicum, I interviewed individuals in need of public defenders and learned the importance of listening carefully, communicating effectively, and taking a thoughtful and delicate approach when counseling clients who are facing difficult circumstances.
