In 1993, I moved to the Marietta area fresh out of law school. I had no history with the community and had never even been to Marietta Square! Of course, I knew about the ‘big chicken’ but that was the extent of my knowledge of Marietta & Cobb County. After I began practicing in Marietta, I quickly developed a love for the community. I was welcomed by lifelong residents and those, who like myself, came later. My wife Ashley and I decided to make Marietta our home and we have been here ever since.
I opened my own firm, the Law Offices of Andrew W. Jones, in November of 2006. In 2015, I partnered with Chase Swanson to form Jones & Swanson. Prior to 2006, I was a Founding Partner of Cooper, Jones & Cooper where I represented plaintiffs in major personal injury and wrongful death cases.
My wife Ashley and I still live in Marietta with one of our children, while the other two are attending college. My oldest son Rutty is currently in law school at Mercer University. Ella, my daughter, is a Junior at UGA where she is studying Political Science and International Affairs. My youngest son, Reid, is dedicated to a Marietta travel baseball team and keeps us very busy! When we aren’t working or playing ball, you’ll find me in a deer stand or on a boat. We love spending time at our farm or near the ocean.
From Attorney Chase Swanson
I am a Marietta native with roots spreading through the community to Marietta High School. As a Blue Devil at MHS, I played sports but my parents were advocates for doing well academically. Unlike many of my colleagues, becoming an attorney was not my intended career path. So, that encouragement from my parents later paid off allowing me to attend Mercer University on an academic scholarship. In 2007 I began my legal studies at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law. During each summer of law school, I returned to Marietta where I was fortunate enough to intern at the Law Offices of Andrew W. Jones. After receiving a B.B.A in Economics and a J.D at Mercer University in 2015, Andrew invited me to join him as a Partner, and Jones & Swanson was born.
In 2010 I married the love of my life, Whitney Swanson. We have two boys, Tucker and Charlie, along with our six-year-old yellow lab named Honey. When we aren’t working we enjoy hiking, camping, visiting any National Park we can, and going to Braves games. I personally love taking apart and working on cars, especially Mustangs.

Their most recent accolades include being selected to the 2021 Georgia Super Lawyers list, an award reserved for only 5% of lawyers in the state! This is Andrew’s 13th year being awarded the distinction of Super Lawyer! Before that, he made the Rising Stars list in 2005 and 2007. Chase has been on the Rising Stars list since 2017, and rose to the Super Lawyers list for the first time this year.
