we Chatted With Samantha To Get The Story Behind Her Innovative Reusable Squeeze Pouches. Here’s What She Had To Say.
Q: Where Did The Idea For Sweetie Sips™ Come From?
I’m a newer mom. My daughter is about to turn three, and I have another daughter on the way. As an entrepreneur, I’ve always been interested in creating products with babies in mind. I knew about reusable baby food pouches but saw that there weren’t a lot of options available and none that worked for my family’s needs. So in 2020, I decided to create my own, and that’s how Sweetie Sips™ was born.
Q: What Was The Design Process Like?
I came up with a basic idea and then worked with a great graphic designer to amplify it. We worked hand-in-hand to create something trendy and different from what was already out there. Then I approached a manufacturer with the design.
Q: Where Can People Buy Sweetie Sips™?
I sell Sweetie Sips™ on my website and Amazon. Currently, I’m reaching out to a few brick-and-mortar retailers as well as some local boutiques. Hopefully, you’ll see Sweetie Sips™ in a retailer near you very soon.
Q: Have You Felt A Sense Of Support From The Community Around You?
Even though my customers are purchasing Sweetie Sips™ online, I like to reach out to as many of them as possible. Through that, I’ve seen that a lot of my customers are also from Dallas, Georgia and the surrounding areas, which is great. Also, my business continues to grow by word of mouth through my local community and my online community as well.
Q: Why Do You Love What You Do?
I believe in Sweetie Sips™. It makes my family’s life easier and I love hearing how it helps my customers. Groceries are expensive and parents are busy, so refillable squeeze pouches just make sense. Families with children aren’t the only people loving Sweetie Sips™, though. Adults making protein shakes and on-the-go breakfasts, as well as older folks on soft diets, can all benefit from Sweetie Sips™.
Q: What Are Your Future Plans For Sweetie Sips™?
I have a warehouse now and I’m looking into hiring full-time employees. It’s exciting, but I’m so used to wearing all the hats, so this will be a learning curve for me. Overall, I just hope to continue to grow and improve my product.
