Attorney Andrew Jones has been a member of the Cobb County community for over 17 years. He and his wife now live in Marietta with their three children. Throughout the years, the Jones family has been very active in the community. Nowadays the family is busy with the kids’ extracurricular activities. Andrew’s oldest son is an active baseball player. Last year, he began playing on a team for 6-4-3 DP Athletics and has continued to participate in the program this year.
6-4-3 DP Athletics began in 2007, when it was called 6-4-3 DP Baseball Academy. The founder of the program is one of the best baseball instructors in metro-Atlanta, Danny Pralgo. The purpose of 6-4-3 Athletics is to provide a safe and unique setting in which young athletes not only learn about the game of baseball, but also improve their skills and compete with other athletes as well. Mr. Pralgo gathered a group of outstanding baseball and business minds to serve the youth participating in 6-4-3 DP Athletics.
6-4-3 DP Athletics makes its home at the Aviation Sports Complex in Marietta, Georgia. This year, the program will facilitate 25 baseball teams made up of youth between the ages of eight and 18. 6-4-3 DP Athletics will also host around 50 tournaments and showcases for baseball and softball players. Also, the program partners in multiple community events that are hosted at the complex. For more information on 6-4-3 DP Athletics, visit www.643dpathletics.com.
While his son was participating in 6-4-3 DP Athletics, Andrew heard about The 6-4-3 Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation* with the purpose of providing “financial aid and charitable contributions to the community”. The 6-4-3 Foundation’s purpose is to provide financial aid and charitable contributions to the community in which we (6-4-3) work, live and serve through the gift of giving. The 6-4-3 Foundation will endeavor to provide the resources necessary to assure that all student-athletes, regardless of financial capacity, have the same equal access. By doing so, all youth who desire to realize their full potential in sports, and learn the valuable lessons of life through sports activity, will have the ability to realize their goals. The 6-4-3 Foundation will actively participate in, and contribute toward, initiatives that serve to better the lives of people, the environment and the communities that 6-4-3 serves. The primary areas of focus for The 6-4-3 Foundation will be: scholarship assistance, community improvement projects, community outreach/support. Attorney Jones recently made a charitable contribution to The 6-4-3 Foundation and hopes that others in the Cobb County community will consider doing the same so that our youth can continue to change their lives through sports.
