Latest Recalled Vehicles

There have been numerous vehicle recalls announced in the last few months, including:

LR4 Land Rover Recall

In May, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Jaquar Land Rover North America announced a recall of LR4 model Land Rover vehicles. This recall includes approximately 3,000 2015 models due to an ABS software defect. This product defect could cause glitches with the ABS software, stability control, hill decent control, and traction control systems. If any of these software systems are disabled while being operated, drivers may lose control of the vehicle. The recalled vehicles would have been manufactured between August 19, 2014 and February 9, 2015.

Acura MDX and RLX Recalls

Nearly 48,000 popular Acura vehicles have been recalled as a result of a potential malfunction in the automatic braking systems. These models include 2014-2015 MDX and RLX Acura vehicles. These systems are said to scan the front of the vehicles using radar so that the vehicles do not strike objects. If an object is detected, the vehicle’s brakes would be applied automatically so that the vehicle slows. When working properly, this safety technology would reduce injuries and damage to the vehicle.

Honda Motorcycle Recalls

Numerous Honda motorcycles are being recalled due to incorrectly applied sealant, leaving the vehicles at risk for loss of power in the electrical systems. Cycles included in the recall are 2013-2015 ST1300PA, 2014-2015 CB500, CBR500, CRF250L, CBR650, CTX700, NSS300, VT750, VT1300, 2015 CB300F, CBR300, CBR600, and 2014-2016 NC700 motorcycles.

2016 Kia Sorento Recall

2015 Kia Sorento vehicles manufactured between October 23 and December 10 of 2014 are being recalled because front passenger seat belts may not fasten correctly. The latch assembly may be defective, which increases the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

Ford Vehicles Recalls

2015 Ford Taurus, Explorer, Flex, Lincoln MK, MKT automobiles are being recalled because their parking brakes may fail to engage fully when applied. This could allow the vehicle to roll while in “park” on a hill. The Taurus, Flex and MKS vehicles would have manufacture dates of May 4, 2015 through May 23, 2015. The Lincoln MKT automobiles have manufacture dates between May 4, 2015 and May 21, 2015. The Ford Explorer vehicles would have been manufactured between May 4 and 23 of 2015.
